Research, development and quality control
Turning a finishing requirement into a verified solution: our laboratory connects product development, application trials and production control.

The laboratory, working alongside your process.
We work on existing compounds and new formulations to improve application behaviour: adhesion to the polishing wheel, viscosity, cutting ability and gloss. Each project starts with a specific objective and progresses through analysis and trials to a sample for validation under operating conditions.
From requirements to application trials
A development process that brings the laboratory and the user together.
Define the objective
Material, initial surface condition, desired finish and operating conditions.
Analyse and formulate
Product characterisation and formulation development based on the identified requirements.
Test and refine
Checks on properties and polishing performance, followed by adjustments to the compound.
Validate in the application
A sample for application trials and a discussion of the results before the final selection.
Measured properties. Observed results.
Viscosity, pH, rheological behaviour and stability are assessed alongside polishing performance, according to the product's characteristics. Measurements help us understand the compound; application trials verify how it behaves on the surface.
Quality is checked throughout the process.
Checks accompany production, from incoming raw materials to verification of the finished product.
Before production
Checks on incoming materials and supplier documentation.
During production
Monitoring of process parameters throughout compound manufacture.
On the finished product
Verification of the product's specified characteristics, batch identification and retention of samples for subsequent checks.
Production technology and traceability
In Sabbio Chiese, computerised supervision supports the main stages of liquid compound production: formulations, component loading, temperatures and packaging. Traceability of operations and checks links each product to its production history, complementing the team's expertise.
Company and plantsResearch and quality control have distinct, complementary roles: research develops solutions, while quality control verifies conformity with the characteristics defined for each product.
